MARI CAMILOTI

CHOREOGRAPHER / DANCER / MOVEMENT DIRECTOR

Mari is a London-based dance artist and movement director born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is interested in creative movement facilitation, performance, and choreography for people from all backgrounds, ages, and abilities. Her collaborative approach to directing and teaching draws upon contemporary dance, experiential anatomy, improvisation, and her experience as a performer and maker.

Mari is a natural observer fascinated by the moving body and its communicative power. She enjoys using creative explorations to encourage awareness, connectivity, physical thinking, change of perspective, and playfulness.

Mari is currently studying an MA in Movement Directing and Teaching at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and holds a PG diploma in Performance from London Contemporary Dance School. She has performed across the UK and internationally with companies such as Fevered Sleep, Hagit Yakira Dance, Clod Ensemble, and Second Hand Dance. Her collaborations with independent artists include Rosemary Lee, Simonetta Alessandri, Petra Soor, Riccardo Buscarini, A de la Fe, Sally Cookson, amongst others.
