DIRECTOR / EDUCATOR

Aditi Dalal is a Drama Facilitator and Director from Mumbai, India. Bringing together Theatre, Education and Psychology, her practice has grown from the educational sphere, working in school, private and non-profit settings for seven years. She aspires to use theatre for advocacy and change. 

Aditi led the Theatre Programme at a school for children with disabilities, designing and delivering the curriculum across the school. She curated and directed productions, created collaboratively with the students, that built a platform to amplify their voices. She also facilitated teacher training workshops to inspire the use of theatre as a pedagogical tool across different subject classrooms. Working at a private institute, she has trained young people in Speech and Drama, Communication Skills and Performance subjects and managed production for a variety of performance programmes. She also volunteers with a non-profit, facilitating the use of Drama-based learning in classrooms.

Her performance credits outside educational spaces include: Director and Actor, Elixir (2020); Writer and Actor, Fear Me Not (2021); Company Manager, The Untethered Joke (2021); Co-creator and Performer, It Was Fated (2022).

She has moved to the UK to deepen and broaden her artistic practice and is currently pursuing the MA Advanced Theatre Practice at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She is the recipient of an award from the JN Tata Endowment Trust and the Charles Beeson Scholarship.
